Tom Fallon
Tom hails from the Central Coast of NSW, where his lifelong love for the sea and surfing has been the driving force behind his profound passion for the marine environment. His journey commenced at the University of Tasmania, where he earned his degree in Ocean Engineering, delving deep into the realm of coastal dynamics during his academic pursuits.
With a keen focus on ocean engineering, Tom embarked on a path that propelled him to the forefront of marine renewable energy. His early career was marked by a dedicated exploration of this emerging industry, particularly focusing on tidal energy solutions for remote coastal communities. Tom notably led the development and implementation of cutting-edge sensor platforms, streamlining site assessments. Since joining Bluecoast, Tom has working on a range of projects including metocean and environmental monitoring fieldwork across Australia and the Pacific as well as coastal processes assessments and engineering design.
Tom's contributions have reached far and wide, spanning from Australia to the Philippines, Maldives, the US, and the UK, making a lasting impact on various projects.
